the KRUGER HOUSE

A true pollinator garden, this project sought to not only beautify the front of the home, but to attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. In order to update the curb appeal of the home and create a dedicated space for the gardens, hours of grading were completed with heavy equipment to level the turf areas and garden beds, which are separated by a low serpentine stone veneer wall. The wall was designed carefully around existing trees to protect their roots. With these areas delineating naturally organic spaces, the front flagstone walkway was redesigned to match and raised vegetable garden beds used the same stone veneer. What was once a nondescript yard is a warm, inviting gesture.
